Pecenkafest is a not just a competition but a celebration of Slovenian culture that has given us so much fantastic food. The challenge is simple - roast the best pig. Contestants will team up and must create their own booth and method in which to cook an entire pig. We take cooking pig very seriously at Slovenski Park and that is why you are only allowed to use a wood and coal burning fire and salt and pepper to season your pig, nothing else. Contestants are judged on taste, texture, skin, and appearance. Appearance is all about how fun and engaging you make your booth, is there a theme, is there free snacks, live music? All of this contributes to your final score. Pecenkafest is the most unique event Slovenski Park has to offer and we guarantee you will experience nothing else like it.
