Well the Spring Banquet is now in the books and it was a wonderful success.
What a great way to start the summer season!
I would like to thank all the people who attended the banquet,we appreciate your patronage.
For those of who who missed it, you missed a thoroughly enjoyable evening that could of only 
been enhanced by you participation. We held a wine judging contest during the banquet and 
I would like to congratulate the winners once again.

Golf Results:

The Slovenski Park golf Tournament was a great success.We had a hot and sunny day and fun was had by all.
The new reigning golf foursome for 2008 are, Al Irvine, Ray Honey, Paul Seibart and Don Mckay.  Congratulations!

Thanks to all the volunteers and sponsors who helped make it such a successfull  event.

Soccer Results:

On Saturday  we hosted our 4th Annual 5 vs 5 Soccer Tournament(Slovenski Park Cup).
At the end of the day the championship was won by Brant County FC, who battled and won on penalty shots.
Slovenski park would like to thank the 8 teams that participated and all the volunteers that helped make it a success!
I would especially like to thank Jani Pusic who did an excellent job putting together the tournament.
We look forward to seeing you all again next year.

Zivio!!  Greetings Slovenski Park Members and Friends!!

What a Great Weekend!  The weather was great, the baseball was terrific, and the party was AAaawsome!!!

The A Final came down to The Last Minute Straglers vs Major league Wreckers.  The championship was a low scoring affair,
4-2 and was won by 1st timers at the park, the Major League Wreckers. Congratulations Major League Wreckers!

The B Final was between London and Swingin Singles.  Although London was ahead 10-1, they could not hold on. 
The Swingin Singles came from behind in a thrilling game to win the championship 13-10.
Congratulations Swingin Singles.

I would like to thank all the members and friends who attended Slovenski Park for the weekend and throughout the summer season 
and supported our various sporting events.  It is only with your attendance that we can continue to provide,
what I feel, is some of the best hospitality in sporting  tournaments in Southern Ontario.

I would like to thank all the volunteers that put in their time for this weekend as well as throughout the year, 
especially the last minute call ups that came through when we needed them.  Thank you again on a job well done!

My sister MaryAnn and her daughter Amanda(my niece), would like to sincerely thank all who so generously donated
to the raffle and through donations in support of Breast Cancer Research.  They are pleased to report that almost $1000 was raised.
Way to go! Again thanks to all that contributed.  Donations are still welcome.
